Candle Light Festival Photo Tour Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL DHAKA

After arrival, our representative will greet you at the airport and then take you to the hotel for check-in. this afternoon’s photoshoot at old Dhaka city, People & their custom & heritage, and rickshaws (tricycles). A special Welcome Dinner & Enjoy the slideshow presentation by our photo guide, you will get more information and idea which will be helpful for your journey.

DAY 02: COAL LABORS– CANDLE LIGHT FESTIVAL

At morning daily labors unloading coals, bricks and sands carry on their heads from lighter vessels. After we will drive to the Hindu temple where devotees participate on candle lights pray, thousands of devotee seating around the temple with candle lights, Obsessed by smoke and a wonderful & captivating atmosphere of candle lights.

DAY 03: DHAKA-NORTHEST

At dawn, we will leave for the Northeast of the country. Along the way, we will stop to photograph the biggest tie-dying (Batik) village of Bangladesh, people making colors on fabrics by traditional process and dry fabrics in the sun. Rice factories, people working rice factories, the lines of rice paddy while the sun-dry process in the courtyard.

DAY 04: STONE MINE

Whole day photoshoot on stone mine. Around 20000 stone labors are engaged with stone searching, collecting and crushing in this area. They are searching and collecting stones by local traditional boats, winnowing stones, crushing stones.

DAY 05: STONE CITY – SOUTH CITY

At morning we will enter dump yard, photo shoot on people collecting junk in the garbage field. Morning fog and garbage fire smoke mix make a dramatic effect in the field that’s great support for photography. On the way, we will explore also village life.

DAY 06: SOUTH CITY-SOUTH BAY

In the morning the biggest sea fish port and wholesale fish market. Fishermen unloading sea fishes from boats, repairing fishing nets. Drive through to the south bay, explore the world’s longest sea beach, fishing activities and children playing until sunset.

DAY 07: SOUTH BAY

In the morning photography on the biggest betel nut market in Bangladesh. Hundreds of villagers carry betel nuts to the market, people selling and storing nuts. Afternoon photography in the world’s longest sea beach, colorful moon shape boats, fishing on the sea beach, fishermen making and repairing nets, dragging fishing boats, and sunset on the beach.

DAY 08: SOUTH BAY-DHAKA

Early morning photography in the biggest dry fish village of Bangladesh. Hundreds of village people working on drying fish by a traditional process in the sun. Afternoon flight to Dhaka and photography on the old Dhaka city street.

DAY 09: SOUTH BAY – DHAKA-CANDLE LIGHT

Early morning photography in the biggest dry fish village of Bangladesh. Hundreds of village people working on, drying fish by a traditional process in the sun. Afternoon flight to Dhaka and photography on the Candle light festival another biggest Hindu temple.

DAY 10: BRICK FACTORIES & TRAIN STATION

At morning we will enter several brick factories, explores whole traditional process of bricking making where brick laborers making brick by hand in the traditional processes. Red bricks with dust carry on their overhead. After lunch visit local train station, people traveling in crowded train even seating roof of the train. Beside  train station you a chance to shoot very interesting street photography.

DAY 11: SHIPYARD

At morning photo shoot on the old Dhaka city riverside where you will capture hundreds of people crossing river bus small local boats and riverside market and activities.  Next we will enter the Shipyard, a slum, and home to the largest shipyard in Asia. A labyrinth-like city in which giant skeletons of old ships provide work for around 15,000 people, with the task of dismantling ships, and creating new boats with the recovered parts.

DAY 12: DHAKA-DEPARTURE

Early Morning photography on the chicken market. After breakfast preparing to check out the hotel. According to your individual Flight departure time, we will drop you at the airport and bid you a fond farewell.
